What’s it like to work with MEQIFY? In our ’Meet’ series, we learn more about working with MEQIFY by meeting the people that are tirelessly supporting our customers to improve themselves and are brimming with experience to share.
Åsa has been working with MEQIFY since 2020. Always smiling and ready with a joke, Åsa is naturally one of our team members championing MEQIFests – our team building events and get-togethers.
“I first came across Meqify while working at Tetra Pak, when founder Thomas Mattsson began supporting the Agile transformation there” (you can read more about that story and the beginnings of Meqify here). Later on, while preparing for an interview for a major tech company, she began learning about Agile and its concepts. The first seeds were sown and several years later Thomas contacted Åsa via LinkedIn to ask her if she wanted to work at Meqify – and she did.
Currently a Scrum Master at Tetra Pak for two teams, she works hard to help them deliver their work better. Both teams are distributed, but when they are in the office or arrange to meet up Åsa might have some home-baked treats for them!
“All the events have their purpose, but if I had to choose one: the Daily. The Daily is really important, especially with hybrid working and distributed teams”. The Daily, or Daily Scrum, is a key moment of communication for the team, to share information, organise themselves and the day ahead
“Sign up for a course at MEQIFY! It will give you a flying start.” Åsa is also a regular at events like Agile Exchange Lund, and says that attending free events and also trying to get a mentor would be great for your networking and development.
”Team dynamics”. For Åsa, she likes to learn about and focus on how people in a team with high psychological safety act, and what the journey to high psychological safety looks like so she work with that in her teams.
The flow in a high performing team “that really gets me high!” chuckles Åsa ”I enjoy environments where people can shift between being serious and laughter, all while being professional.”
Åsa’s interest and care for team dynamics also makes her perfect in the role of one of our last contact points in the Meqify recruitment process – if you get to speak with her you know you’re doing well!
